ORC Spring 2025: Mini Projects

Hi Everyone! Welcome back! If it’s your first time, get to know me first!

This will be my 3rd ORC Challenge, more about that in a bit.

What’s the One Room Challenge?

The One Room Challenge® (ORC) is an 8 week challenge to transform one room of your own choosing. It’s not a competition but rather a networking event if you will to uplift and encourage each other and while getting a platform to showcase your talent. Click here to find out more!

My initial plan was to tackle my laundry room for the next 8 weeks. However, I have tons of unfinished projects around the house. I decided to tackle these projects during the 8 weeks. I am challenging myself to complete as many as I can each week, with the goal being at least one a week.

Here is a list of some of my unfinished projects. I am aiming to complete at least 8 of them.

  • Repaint Foyer/Entry Way
  • Finish Trim around shoe storage
  • Paint and add missing piece to shoe storage
  • Fix shoe storage top
  • Add more moulding to board & batten
  • Repaint hallway closet
  • Hang second rod in hallway closet
  • Replace closet doors
  • Add handles to closet doors
  • Caulk baseboards in living room
  • Sand accent wall in dining room
  • Repaint accent wall in dining room

Much of these mini projects are from my last ORC my Entry way.

In this picture you can see the missing trim around the shoe storage. As well as the missing piece between the drawers.

Here is the board & batten, wall that I plan on adding more detail too.

These are the first two mini projects I plan on tackling. Stay tuned for updates.
