Overall Home Design

Hey everyone, switching it up from posting only ORC updates, to share my overall vibe, feeling, mood, design with you all as previously promised.

We moved into our current home in December 2021, we are quickly approaching a year. The house was in our dream location, but that was as dreamy as it got (hahaha, but seriously).

The house was definitely trapped in the late 90s, early 2000s and needed a complete vibe check and overall update.

The very first thing we did was paint the entire house SW Snowbound. I absolutely love the colour and I am happy with my decision.

Here is a mood board that pretty much sums up the direction for our home with the exception of my kids’ rooms as I do allow them input in the creative process of their bedrooms.

I would classify my style as Transitional for the most part. As you can tell by the mood board, I am going for a neutral vibe throughout my home. I will break up the monotony with a few pops of colour here and there.

We have a long list of items both decorative and practical of things we need to complete. Here’s a list of both completed and still to do items.

Although the entire house has been painted, no room is fully complete as yet. Follow along as I complete the first room of many, my living room.
